Piero Carbone joins Jones Day's London Office as partner in Corporate Practice

Piero Carbone has joined Jones Day as a partner in the Corporate Practice. He is based in the Firm's London Office.

Mr. Carbone focuses on cross-border corporate transactions, particularly in the area of private equity. He advises private equity firms on a range of transactions, including mid-market and large leveraged buyouts, public-to-private (P2P) transactions, buy-and-build transactions, and reorganizations. Mr. Carbone also advises private credit funds and other private capital solutions funds managers on their debt and structured investments.

"Piero has worked with U.S. and European private equity firms and fund managers from a variety of industries that align with Jones Day's worldwide client base, including financial services, healthcare, real estate, and technology," said Vica Irani, Co-Leader of the Corporate Practice. "His diverse work in cross-border corporate transactions will be a great asset and I am pleased that he has joined Jones Day."

At Jones Day, Mr. Carbone joins the Firm's global Corporate Practice, which encompasses M&A and Private Equity. In the last five years, the Firm has advised clients on more than 3,000 M&A transactions collectively valued at $1.5 trillion. In London, Mr. Carbone's arrival comes on the heels of recent additions of Paul Jones, Sage Revell, and Alex Chalk KC (former Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) as partners in the Firm's Energy, Corporate, and Global Disputes practices, respectively.

Mr. Carbone earned his post-graduate law degree from the College of Law in London, a graduate degree from the London School of Economics, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Naples Federico II.
