Kansas City Southern Railway defeats grievance in scope of work dispute

Jones Day successfully defended Kansas City Southern Railway before a Special Board of Adjustment in a scope of work dispute with the Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen. Following extensive briefing and a hearing, the Board held that KCSR did not violate the collective bargaining agreement when it assigned certain work related to the implementation of Positive Train Control to contractors, rather than to the signal employees.
