Jones Day secures substantial settlement for client in real property dispute

Client(s) Mejia, Albert E.

Jones Day Los Angeles was able to secure a $140,000 settlement for client Albert Mejia after he lost his house due to foreclosure. The foreclosure sale resulted in surplus proceeds, but the proceeds were tied up in Court due to a dispute about ownership of the property. Jones Day represented Mr. Mejia at a mediation which resulted in the substantial recovery for Mr. Mejia. Mr. Mejia is extremely grateful for Jones Day's assistance.
