Gillette sues four former employees and its competitor for improper disclosure of trade secrets

Jones Day represents The Gillette Company, a division of The Procter & Gamble Company, in a lawsuit against four former Gillette employees. In the suit, Gillette alleges that its former employees improperly disclosed confidential information and trade secrets they helped develop while working at Gillette to a competing company, ShaveLogic. ShaveLogic, which is also a defendant in the lawsuit, has hired several other former Gillette employees in addition to the four individual defendants, and it has applied for patent protection on the ideas and concepts they worked on while at Gillette. The lawsuit alleges misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and unfair competition against the four former employees, and it seeks an injunction to prevent the defendants from further disclosing Gillette confidential information and trade secrets, damages, and a constructive trust over the patents and patent applications for the benefit of Gillette.
