Sheikh Abdulrahman Khalid bin Mahfouz secures committal order in culmination of €35 million asset tracing litigation

Jones Day successfully represented Sheikh Abdulrahman Khalid bin Mahfouz and his family in proceedings against Mr. Muhaned Farid Mahmoud El-Rashid. On May 25, 2016 our clients were successful in their application for summary judgment in the sum of €35 million (together with interest on the judgment sum) and were also granted equitable title to a London property and an order for the delivery-up of various high value vehicles. In support of their claim, our clients succeeded in obtaining a worldwide freezing order, search order and disclosure orders against Mr. El-Rashid. Finally, our clients obtained an order for the committal of Mr. El-Rashid to prison for 12 months in relation to his breaches of the worldwide freezing order and the order requiring delivery up of the vehicles.
