Client(s) City Financial Investment Company Limited / Baker, Jason and Rowley, Geoffrey as joint administrators of City Financial Investment Company Limited

Jones Day successfully advised the board of City Financial Investment Company Limited (the "Company") on the Company's entry into administration. Following this, Jones Day successfully negotiated the sale of the Company's business out of administration. The business was fund-based, FCA-regulated and cross-border and so required complex and intense negotiations under severe time pressure with limited resources remaining in the Company. Co-operation between numerous specialist teams was required to achieve the best result. Agreement was achieved with all of the stakeholders in the Company's business to permit completion of the sales of the UK, Irish, Hong Kong, and Singapore businesses.
