Employers at Hunts Point Produce Market reach agreement with Teamsters after week-long strike

Jones Day served as lead negotiator for the association of employers at the Hunts Point Produce Market in its 2020-2021 collective bargaining negotiations with Teamsters Local 202 and provided support during a resulting week-long strike. The members voted to strike when the contract expired on January 16, 2021 and the parties had not reached agreement on wages and other economic terms. The parties reached a tentative agreement on January 22, 2021 covering approximately 1,400 employees at the Market in the Bronx. Members ratified the agreement on January 23, 2021.
