Japan's Sega, the company behind Sonic the Hedgehog, purchased Rovio in a cash deal that values the creator of Angry Birds at $774 million.
Sega announced a voluntary recommended cash offer to the shareholders of Rovio Entertainment Corporation to tender all their shares in Rovio to Sega Europe for a cash consideration of €9.25 per share as well as an offer to the option holders under the Company's Stock Options 2022A plan to tender all their options for a cash consideration of €1.48 per option.
