Dr. Zhaoxia Chen hat über 16 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Unternehmenskauf sowie anderer gesellschaftsrechtlicher Transaktionen und ist dabei besonders auf grenzüberschreitende Fusionen und Akquisitionen spezialisiert. Sie hat umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Beratung von Mandanten, die in China investieren sowie chinesischer Firmen, die in den europäischen Markt einsteigen. Darüber hinaus hat sie umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Hotel-, Maschinenbau- sowie Automobilindustrie.

In letzter Zeit beriet Frau Dr. Chen ReLive Biotechnologies in Verbindung mit ihrer Akquisition der Geschäftsbetriebe der co.don Aktiengesellschaft, ein an der Frankfurter Börse notierter deutscher Hersteller personalisierter Zelltherapien zur Behandlung von Knorpeldefekten. Sie beriet auch die Pandox-Gruppe bei verschiedenen Hoteltransaktionen (einschließlich des Erwerbs von insgesamt zehn Hotels in Deutschland von der HR-Gruppe für insgesamt € 393 Mio., zwei Hotels in Deutschland und den Niederlanden von Grape Hospitality für € 83 Mio. und 18 Hotels der Leonardo-Gruppe in Deutschland für € 400 Mio.) und Goldman Sachs bei dem Kauf der K + K-Hotels sowie später dem Verkauf dieser Hotels. Sie beriet ebenso die Dallah Al-Baraka-Gruppe bei dem Verkauf ihrer Minderheitsbeteiligung an der World Sport Group an das chinesische Unternehmen LeTV, einen chinesischen börsennotierten Automobilzulieferer bei dem Gebot für einen Geschäftsbereich eines deutschen Automobilzulieferers sowie der Gründung eines globalen Joint Ventures mit einem deutschen Automobilzulieferer, ein chinesisches Postunternehmen bei der Gründung eines Joint Ventures mit mehreren deutschen Partnern, und ein führendes chinesisches Bauunternehmen bei dem Gebot für das Wasserbauunternehmen einer führenden europäischen Baufirmengruppe.

Frau Dr. Chen ist eine frühere Stipendiatin der Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung. Sie veröffentlicht häufig zu Themen des europäischen und chinesischen Rechts mit Bezug auf ausländische Investitionen und hält zu diesen Themen auch Vorträge.
