Alexandre de Verdun has 20 years of experience in the field of M&A and private equity.

His practice focuses on private M&A, including disposals, acquisitions, equity investment, strategic alliances, and joint ventures in France and abroad. He regularly advises major industrial groups and French and foreign investment funds in various sectors. He is particularly active in the energy and banking sectors and also has in-depth knowledge of the defense and aerospace industries.

Among the recent deals in which he has acted as lead counsel are the disposal by Société Générale of all its activities in eight Eastern European countries (three of these disposals received the Central Eastern European Legal/CEEL Deal of the Year Award), the sale by Areva of the Canberra group to Charterhouse-Mirion Technologies, the acquisition by Bridgestone NV/SA of Speedy (network of 480 points of sale), the acquisition by Calgon Carbon Corporation of the Filters and Active Carbons assets of the Arkema group, the acquisition by Total Marketing Services of a 70% stake in V Energy (network of service stations in the Dominican Republic), and the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Mors Mitt by Wabtec Corporation from Eurazeo PME.

He has also been lead counsel in major energy and mining projects, such as the formation of Dunkerque LNG (a joint venture between EDF, Total, and Fluxys, operating the liquefied natural gas [LNG] terminal of Dunkirk) as EDF advisor, and the formation of mining joint ventures with Eramet (nickel) and Areva NC (uranium) as advisor to Mitsubishi Corporation.
