Simone Hussussian assists health care industry stakeholders with regulatory compliance, enforcement, and transactional matters. She represents hospitals and health systems, specialty providers, physician groups, digital health companies, and health care investors.
Simone's experience includes advising clients with regard to compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law. She has experience defending health care clients in False Claims Act and other enforcement actions. In addition, Simone counsels health care clients on operational matters, such as licensure and reimbursement.
Simone also has advised health care clients on a wide range of transactional matters, including health system mergers and acquisitions, professional practice management alignments, and joint ventures.
After law school, Simone worked as a law clerk at a nationwide primary care provider. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys.
