Scott Lyne's practice focuses on corporate transactions, licensing, and counseling involving intellectual property and technology. He is a member of Jones Day's IP Transactions area. His experience includes the negotiation and structuring of IP purchases and sales, technology development and licensing agreements, manufacturing, distribution and supply agreements, and the IP and technology aspects of other corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, asset securitizations, private equity investments, capital markets offerings, and secured lending.
In addition, Scott counsels clients on strategic IP and technology matters, including the development of strategies for the protection and exploitation of technologies and the enforcement of intellectual property rights, and works with clients on day-to-day operational issues relating to technology, intellectual property, electronic commerce, and privacy. He has worked with a wide range of clients in various industries, including public companies, as well as growing technology-driven businesses and start-ups.
Scott also has experience with intellectual property litigation. He has represented domestic and foreign clients on matters involving diverse technologies, such as semiconductors, business methods, and physical and life sciences, and has experience with actions arising before the United States International Trade Commission and through the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) process.
