Reese Wilking advises public and private companies and private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions in a range of industries, including biomedical sciences, apparel, fintech, manufacturing, energy, and technology. Reese also has experience advising companies on corporate governance matters.
Representative matters include BioMarin's $4.8 billion acquisition of Amicus Therapeutics and the take-private of Guess, Inc. by its co-founders and CEO, as rollover shareholders, in their strategic partnership with Authentic Brands Group.
Reese maintains an active pro bono practice, including through the Firm's Border Project providing on-the-ground legal support to asylum clients at a detention facility in Laredo, Texas.
Reese is author of "Animating a Statutory Right: Access to Counsel for Noncitizens in Reasonable Fear Review," 73 Emory L. J. 1015 (2024).
