Jones Day partner Katie Mead named among “Elite Women” by Australasian Lawyer
Australasian Lawyer has named partner Katie Mead to its "Elite Women" list for 2023. The list honors women making great strides in Australia's legal landscape, aiming to highlight influential female leaders that stood out in the past year.
Ms. Mead, who is based in the Perth Office and a member of the Global Disputes Practice, is an experienced dispute resolution practitioner with a global practice focused on the resolution of major construction and engineering disputes. Her recent achievements include successfully representing owners and contractors on a variety of complex arbitrations relating to major mining, oil and gas, and renewable energy projects, including a dispute over the construction of one of Australia's largest solar farms.
Ms. Mead is recognized by Doyle's in its list of Western Australia's Leading Construction Lawyers, and is a recent recipient of the Law Council of Australia's annual Tom Yuncken Australian Young Construction Lawyer Award (given annually to a construction lawyer under the age of 36 and based on demonstrated excellence in construction law services, academic and practical abilities, contribution to the field and practice of construction law, and leadership attributes).
Ms. Mead also maintains an active pro bono practice and is committed to the development and mentoring of junior practitioners. She is co-chair of the Firm's Australian Diversity, Inclusion & Advancement Committee.
