Marine L'Hostis is involved in the legal and tax structuring of a diverse range of investment funds, including private equity, real estate, impact funds, dedicated funds, co-investment funds, continuation funds, infrastructure funds, and debt funds. Additionally, she handles connected transactions such as GP-led (general partner) operations, secondary transactions, and more.

She also provides assistance to a number of funds of funds (French and foreign) in relation to their investments in underlying funds. This includes legal and tax audits, as well as the negotiation of their organizational documentation (e.g. negotiation of key terms, side letters, etc.).

Additionally, Marine provides ongoing assistance to management companies/AIFMs (alternative investment fund managers) in their interactions with the French financial markets authority (AMF). This encompasses matters related to AIFM licenses, implementation of regulated activities, inspections, sanction proceedings, and any other issues initiated by the AMF. Furthermore, she has experience in marketing issues, including drafting and negotiating marketing agreements, assisting with the setup and management of online subscription platforms, and navigating marketing-related regulations.

She also plays a key role in establishing carried interest and other incentive schemes for management teams.

Marine has been a member of the legal committee of France Invest since 2024.

She is also coauthor, with Florence Moulin, of the sixth edition of the book Les Fonds de Capital-Investissement : principes juridiques et fiscaux (Private Equity Funds: Legal and Fiscal Principles), with a preface by Olivier Goy, all royalties from which have been donated to the French Brain Institute.
