Anders Folk advises clients with internal investigations, civil and criminal litigation, government investigations and enforcement actions, and compliance practices. Before joining Jones Day, Anders held leadership positions at the Department of Justice (DOJ) and in private practice.

While serving with the DOJ, he oversaw and led complex and high-profile matters for the District of Minnesota and advised senior leadership at the DOJ on priority litigation, operations, and policy matters. Anders was deeply involved in guiding the DOJ's response to crises and worked in this capacity with federal and state agencies in the District of Minnesota and across the United States. In private practice, he has extensive experience guiding clients through internal investigations, multifaceted litigation, and government enforcement actions throughout the United States and abroad.

During two periods of service with the DOJ, Anders handled a broad portfolio of work involving civil rights, use of force, health care fraud, national security, foreign governments, cybersecurity and cybercrime, data breaches, investment fraud, public corruption, money laundering, sanctions and export violations, the False Claims Act, tax evasion, large-scale drug and human trafficking, child exploitation, and violent crime. He has successfully tried to verdict cases involving multiple defendants, nationwide financial frauds, money laundering, and national security.

Prior to his most recent DOJ service, Anders led an Am Law 200 firm's securities and class action litigation division and represented clients in internal investigations, federal and state government investigations, and litigation related to data breaches and cybersecurity, theft of trade secrets, investment fraud, sexual harassment and hostile workplace, environmental violations, mortgage-backed securities, market manipulation, waste fraud and abuse, cyberattacks, export violations, embezzlement, obstruction of justice, bribery, and national security.
