Harith Hawas practices corporate law with a focus on M&A, private equity, and real estate private equity transactions. He has experience acting for public and private companies on a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and general corporate matters.

Harith has experience working with clients in the energy, renewables, private equity, student accommodation, build-to-rent, indirect real estate, technology, and defense sectors.

  • Macquarie acquires ZitonJones Day is advising Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7 SCSp, a fund advised by Macquarie Asset Management, on its acquisition of Ziton A/S. Ziton is headquartered in Denmark and indirectly owns and operates a fleet of jack-up vessels designed for servicing large offshore wind turbines, and it offers turnkey services that cover aspects like repairing and replacing blades and the decommissioning of turbine components.
  • Ares Real Estate acquires hotel portfolio from LandsecJones Day advised funds managed by Ares Real Estate in the £400 million acquisition of a portfolio of hotels concentrated in London and other major UK cities from Landsec and the hotel operations from AccorInvest.
  • ETS acquires PSIJones Day advised Educational Testing Service (ETS) in its acquisition of PSI Services LLC, a global leader in test development and delivery across workforce certification and licensure.
  • Macquarie acquires 50% of Enel Green Power HellasJones Day represented Macquarie Asset Management, via Macquarie GIG Renewable Energy Fund 2 SCSp, in its acquisition of 50% of Enel Green Power Hellas from Enel Green Power S.p.A. for an enterprise value of approximately €980 million.
  • Consilio acquires Lawyers on Demand and SYKEJones Day advised Consilio, Inc. in the acquisition of Lawyers On Demand (LOD), a provider of legal resourcing and SYKE, a legal technology consultancy from Bowmark Capital.
  • TRG acquires Symec TechnologiesJones Day advised TRG, a global managed service provider focused on enterprise mobility, point of sale, and payments, in the acquisition of Symec Technologies Limited, a leading Mobile Technology Solutions and Managed Services company headquartered in Bristol, UK, with an additional facility in Poznan, Poland, expanding TRG's UK and European operations.
