Erin Sindberg Porter represents clients in complex commercial disputes, government-facing litigation, state attorneys general and federal government investigations, and enforcement matters. Erin has extensive experience conducting internal investigations. Erin's representations span across industries, including public and private companies in health care, food, technology, sports, and financial products and services.
A Chambers-ranked litigator, Erin has represented clients in state and federal courts in each phase of litigation from pretrial counseling to appeal. She has developed strategy in complex and high-stakes matters and in the presentation of those strategies at trial. Her litigation experience includes multidistrict, multiparty, and consolidated actions. Her recent cases include a trial win resulting in a $11.5 million tax refund for Mayo Clinic, defending health systems in high-stakes litigation, and guiding a large multinational company through a significant cross-border investigation.
In 2020, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz appointed Erin as Chair of Minnesota's Commission on Judicial Selection, a 49-member commission of attorney and non-attorney members who solicit, evaluate, and recommend to the Governor judicial candidates for state district court vacancies. She leads the Commission's process and advises the Governor on judicial appointments and has assisted with more than 60 appointments to Minnesota's district and appellate courts.
Erin serves as pro bono partner for the Minneapolis Office and works on the Firm's Anti-Human Trafficking expungement initiative. Erin maintains a robust pro bono practice, representing youth in foster care through the Children's Law Center. Erin serves on the Children's Law Center Board and the High Winds Fund Committee at Macalester College.

Represented large international corporation in multiple lawsuits throughout the United States, including multidistrict litigation and class action litigation, and involving significant commercial torts.
Obtained summary judgment in favor of sole proprietor facing 11 causes of action, including numerous allegations of fraud and deceptive business practices.
Defended numerous mortgage originators against repurchase and indemnification claims against purchaser and securitizer of mortgages in consolidated action.
White Collar/Investigations
Conducted numerous internal investigations for various Minnesota and multinational companies to address allegations of employee misconduct, False Claims Act violations, financial fraud, and statutory violations.
Represented numerous companies in state regulatory proceedings brought by the Minnesota Department of Human Resources, Minnesota Department of Commerce, and the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General.
Represented victim in federal prosecution involving multimillion dollar embezzlement scheme and obtained complete summary judgment in related civil lawsuit.
Represented corporate executives charged with insurance fraud and bank fraud.
Represented financial services executive in securities fraud litigation.
