Valmet completes statutory merger with Neles

Jones Day served as global merger control and foreign direct investment counsel to Valmet Oyj (excluding Finland) in its statutory merger with Neles Corporation. The merger was announced on 2 July 2021 and closed 1 April 2022.

The combined company, which had combined net sales of approximately €4.5 billion in 2021 and includes 17,000 professionals worldwide, will provide a broad offering for global process industries. Valmet is a leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries. Neles, known for its valve and valve automation technologies, is now a Flow Control business line in Valmet.
