Miguel Bermúdez de Castro has more than 25 years of experience representing domestic and international clients on cross-border corporate and finance matters. Miguel leads the M&A Practice in Madrid and has participated in matters involving private equity, corporate restructuring, project finance, refinancing, and public concessions. He has advised on transactions in a range of sectors such as infrastructure, technology, construction, food and beverage, energy, real estate, health care, sports, and media. He has worked with many Spanish companies on their international expansion into new markets such as Latin America.
Miguel's recent engagements include the representation of Greystar in several acquisitions and investments to develop real estate projects in Spain; the Geely Group in its joint venture with Renault for the development and supply of hybrid combustion engines globally; CBRE in various investments and acquisitions for the development of logistics platforms; Timken Company in the acquisition of Nadella Group; Grupo Paraguas in the acquisition, investment, and development of several domestic and foreign food and beverage relevant projects; FleetCor Technologies in the acquisition of Global Reach Group; Ahlström Capital BV and Nidoco AB in the acquisition of Decor Business from Ahlstrom-Munksjö; Web Financial Group, together with its funds Bridgepoint and Deustche Balaton, in the sale of its technology business; EagleTree Capital's portfolio company, The Fuse Group, in the acquisition of the leading audiovisual effects company El Ranchito; ACS-Iridium in the divestment of Hospital de Toledo; and CBRE Global Investment Partners in the sale of Montepino logistics group.
Miguel serves as secretary to the board of several companies and foundations and teaches at the IE Business School.
