Lin previously served for five years at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where she was the first-chair lead trial counsel in the agency's successful trial against dental products distributors, as well as the lead attorney on numerous other conduct and merger investigations.

Lin's recent matters include representing a leading technology company in a class action alleging unlawful tying and monopolization, securing dismissal without leave to amend at the pleading stage; a pharmaceutical company in an FTC investigation on drug pricing; a manufacturer in an FTC investigation on repair restrictions; and a video game developer as a divestiture buyer in the FTC's merger challenge against Microsoft/Activision. Lin was one of only five antitrust lawyers in the country to receive the honor of “Top Attorneys Under 40” from Law360 in 2021.
