Alison Montes de Oca works with international and domestic clients in the energy and resources sector. She has experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint venture transactions, and general corporate and commercial matters.

Alison supports the Energy and M&A practices with advising clients on the acquisition of mining projects and assets across Australia, and she has been heavily involved in the due diligence and completion stages of these transactions.

Alison also has experience in high-stakes commercial litigation. She recently was part of the team acting for a global engineering and construction firm in a high-value LNG (liquefied natural gas) pipeline construction dispute in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Alison was a legal intern at a Brisbane-based health tech scaleup company and an economics tutor with the University of Queensland.
