Adam W. Wiers

Adam Wiers is a litigator who acts as lead trial counsel defending clients in cases brought under federal regulatory statutes and representing manufacturing clients in product liability, supplier, and other contract disputes.

Adam acts as lead counsel for Experian in individual and class actions filed throughout the United States. Adam was lead trial counsel in a jury trial in 2022 in the Middle District of Florida that resulted in a complete defense verdict. In 2023 he acted as lead trial counsel in the District of Minnesota in a case that resulted in the federal court entering a directed verdict in the client's favor after Adam cross-examined the plaintiff. He also has a record of success on the appellate level, recently prevailing on cases he argued in the Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits, with each publishing important precedential orders. Adam's work in this area includes a focus on Article III standing and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Adam has long represented manufacturing clients in product liability actions and in supplier disputes and other contentious breach of contract actions. In addition to trial, Adam has extensive deposition experience, having deposed hundreds of witnesses, including plaintiffs and experts of various stripes. He has also negotiated settlements in difficult cases including delicate supplier actions where preservation of an ongoing working relationship is critical.

Adam dedicates significant time to pro bono work. One of his asylum victories was featured on the front page of the Chicago Sun-Times and on CBS's "Nightly News."
