Jason Wright helps health care providers resolve problems both before litigation starts and once in litigation. Jason has represented health care providers to ensure health plans and other payors appropriately reimburse providers. He has also defended providers in a variety of cases involving antitrust claims and allegations that providers engaged in fraudulent reimbursement requests.
Recently, Jason represented a hospital system in California in a substantial antitrust matter regarding providers' contract terms, and which the Firm successfully resolved with a favorable settlement. Other recent matters include litigation and arbitrations on behalf of Dignity Health (now Common Spirit) and Prime Healthcare regarding the appropriate level of reimbursement for out-of-network care. He has also pursued claims against health plans for breach of contract and statutory violations.
In addition, Jason has first chaired numerous trials for pro bono clients. He has litigated domestic violence restraining orders through trial, including obtaining a three-year order of protection for one client. He volunteered through the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and prosecuted criminal misdemeanor matters through trial. He also obtained a directed verdict for a client who was wrongfully accused of assault and battery.
