Andrew Junker is a trial lawyer with a focus on representing clients in civil and criminal investigations and litigation involving the health care industry. Andrew has represented clients in numerous high-profile criminal and civil matters involving alleged violations of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), the False Claims Act (FCA), and various state tort theories, including public nuisance. Andrew's recent representations include defending a national pharmacy in nationwide litigation (including multiple trials) related to opioid dispensing practices and representing various clients in FCA investigations.
Andrew has significant experience at all stages of litigation, from pleadings to fact and expert discovery, trial, and appeal. His experience extends to a number of legal fields, including government and internal investigations, complex commercial disputes, intellectual property and trade secrets, class actions, and white collar defense.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2017, Andrew practiced in Los Angeles, where he served as trial counsel in a successful patent jury trial, obtaining favorable infringement and validity verdicts as to all asserted claims. He also achieved dismissal of all felony charges against a subsidiary of a Fortune 250 company in a criminal matter involving allegations of conspiracy, false statements, and violation of the Clean Water Act (CWA).
