Moritz Maier practices corporate law, with a focus on M&A, advising U.S. and international public and private companies, private equity firms, and family offices on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings, equity investments, and other complex and strategic transactions. His practice in particular focuses on cross-border M&A transactions, where clients benefit from his dual qualification in Germany and Georgia.
Prior to joining the Atlanta Office, Moritz was an M&A associate with Jones Day in Düsseldorf, Germany. During his more than five years with the Firm in Germany, he advised public and private companies, private equity firms, and family offices on cross-border M&A transactions, strategic alliances in Europe, and general commercial matters. He holds a Ph.D. in German corporate law, with his thesis focusing on disclosure obligations and the attribution of knowledge in M&A transactions.
Moritz's recent experience includes transactions for Koch Industries, Roper Technologies, Helios Technologies, Milliken & Company, SUEZ, Plastic Omnium, Convergint Technologies, and Hilti Group.
