Françoise Labrousse, who is a well-regarded environmental lawyer and litigator in France, focuses on environment, energy, life sciences, consumer products, and health and safety-related issues under French, European, and international law. She co-heads the Firm's Government Regulation Practice and in 2019 was named lawyer of the year for environmental law by Global Law Experts.

Françoise frequently defends clients in environmental, health and safety compliance investigations, regulatory enforcement actions, and litigation matters before civil, administrative, criminal, and arbitral courts. She has extensive experience in soil and groundwater contamination, air emissions, climate change, waste management, exposure to asbestos, and other dangerous substances and products.

She handles regulatory, environmental, health and safety issues in M&A, real estate, and energy transactions, with a particular emphasis on environmental representations and warranties. Her recent experience includes the handling of environmental issues in the sale by Total of Atotech to The Carlyle Group for $3.2 billion. In the industrial, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors, she handles regulatory procedures for the creation, operation, restructuring, closure, and remediation of facilities and sites and advises on crisis management in cases of industrial accidents, regulatory, or sanitary crises.

As part of the Firm's multidisciplinary team tasked to anticipate and respond to the new challenges facing the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector, she represents manufacturers, distributors, and users of medical devices, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, chemicals, and general consumer products in regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters.
