Lexi Baltes focuses her practice on appellate advocacy and high-stakes motions. She has drafted briefs filed at all levels of the federal courts and in various state courts, including significant work on successful briefs to the Supreme Court of the United States. Lexi also has experience arguing at the federal court of appeals level.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Lexi served as a law clerk to Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh of the Supreme Court of the United States. She also served as a law clerk to then-Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and to Judge Raymond W. Gruender of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
