Trevor Deason represents clients in complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He has extensive experience in antitrust, defending against claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and managing large-scale e-discovery, including data preservation, collection, review, and production. He clerked for a federal district judge for three years and for a justice on the Supreme Court of Texas for one year, which provides clients with insight at every phase of a dispute, from initial pre-claim evaluation to verdicts and appeals. Trevor uses this experience to gather and analyze facts and evidence, work closely with expert witnesses, draft motions and briefs for trial and appellate courts, and prepare for trial and appeal.
In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Trevor actively represents clients in pro bono matters. He handles federal civil rights cases under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and advocates for asylum seekers before immigration courts.
In his spare time, Trevor strengthens Houston's community and enjoys helping others succeed. He serves on the boards of the Federal Bar Association (Southern District of Texas Chapter) and the Houston Young Lawyers Association. He also chairs the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation's Adopt-an-Angel program, which unites the legal community to deliver gifts to more than 3,600 children in underserved areas who might otherwise go without during the holidays, and he participates in the State Bar of Texas Leadership Class of 2025.
