Frédéric Gros practices banking and finance law with an emphasis on real estate, asset finance, and project finance. He acts as a transactional lawyer and as a litigator in financial matters before civil and commercial courts (including ESG [environmental, social, and governance] litigation against financial institutions and corporates).

Frédéric regularly advises Goldman Sachs in the financing of various investments made in France (277 Saint-Honoré, Le Havre, and Romainville). He advised Blackstone in its first transaction in France as direct lender in a VEFA (off-plan property) financing related to an office building in the Pas-de-Calais. He recently advised the subordinated lenders in the financing of the acquisition of a five-star hotel located at 150 Champs-Elysées. He also advised the German bank pbb in the financing of the purchase of the Artillery Hotel to the French State by the Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques.

He regularly advises Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A. in relation to corporate loans extended to French agricultural cooperatives.

Frédéric represents banks such as Dexia Crédit Local, SFIL, CAFFIL, and Crédit Agricole CIB in litigation related to structured loans and derivatives or to interest rates challenged by borrowers. In this respect, he represented the banks in cases where the Cassation court dismissed all the cities' claims against Dexia Crédit Local, SFIL, and CAFFIL (Cour de cassation: Saint-Leu-la-Forêt [28 March 2018], Saint-Cast-le-Guildo [26 June 2019] and Paris Court of Appeals after cassation: Sassenage [14 October 2021], and CHU de Saint-Etienne [20 April 2022]) and Depfa Bank plc in the SIDRU de Saint-Germain-en-Laye case where the Cassation court dismissed all the claims of this syndicate of municipalities against the bank (Cour de cassation [5 September 2018]).
