Amanda Johnson's practice focuses on business restructuring and reorganization, including chapter 11 proceedings, complex bankruptcy litigation, and other bankruptcy-related matters. She also counsels distressed clients and has experience with out-of-court restructurings.

She currently represents Aldrich Pump and Murray Boiler, affiliates of Trane Technologies, in their chapter 11 cases before the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina. She is also representing Red River Talc LLC, a Johnson & Johnson affiliate, in its chapter 11 case before the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Amanda is a lecturer in law of the "Resolving Mass Tort Liability" seminar at The University of Chicago Law School.

Amanda is a 2023 LCLD Pathfinder and is also a member of the Associate Board of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms. In addition, Amanda was a member of Teach For America prior to law school, where she worked as a public school teacher in Atlanta, Georgia for two years.
