Kathy Rao focuses her practice on patent prosecution and client counseling in the life sciences. She has experience with a range of technology areas, including antisense oligonucleotides, CAR-T cell therapies, antibody therapeutics, gene therapy, flow cytometry, and genome amplification.

She also has experience representing national and international companies in technology transactions, including intellectual property licensing agreements and due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to attending law school, Kathy worked as a patent agent at a boutique intellectual property firm, where she prosecuted patent applications for various life sciences clients.
