Bill Stewart has represented private equity funds and privately held companies in hundreds of closed transactions, including leveraged buyouts, sales, equity recapitalizations, minority investments, and other equity financings. In addition to his transactional work, Bill provides practical, efficient corporate counseling to dozens of companies in a wide range of industries.

The private equity funds with which Bill has worked include Blue Point Capital Partners, Centre Lane Partners, Crestline Investors, Cyprium Partners, Edgewater Capital Partners, High Road Capital Partners, Kirtland Capital Partners, PNC Erieview Capital, Primus Capital, Resilience Capital Partners, Tecum Capital, and The Riverside Company.

In addition to representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies, Bill represents family- and founder-owned businesses in a variety of matters, including transformative sale transactions.

Bill is active in his hometown community and is the immediate past chair of the board of directors of The Children's Museum of Cleveland as well as the immediate past president of the board of trustees of the Yale Alumni Association of Cleveland. Bill is also a member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2019.
