Daniele San Román represents clients in intellectual property matters before U.S. district courts, with a focus on pharmaceutical patent litigation.
Daniele has experience in all phases of litigation, from pleadings through post-trial briefings. She has drafted motions briefing and assisted with hearings, including successfully opposing preliminary injunctions. In addition, she has managed fact discovery, prepared fact witnesses for deposition, and assisted with depositions. Daniele also has worked extensively with expert witnesses, including assisting in drafting expert reports, preparing for depositions, and preparing for trial. Daniele has drafted pretrial order materials, as well as prepared molecular models and other trial exhibits. Her practice encompasses various technical fields, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, materials manufacturing, and software devices.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Daniele clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She also gained experience working in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm. While in law school, Daniele participated as a scholar in the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA)/Microsoft Intellectual Property Law Institute, an IP immersion program held in Washington, D.C.
