Chris Wood counsels public and private borrowers, private equity sponsors, and lenders in transactional and commercial financing-related matters, including the financing aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and other business combinations. His experience includes first lien/second lien facilities, acquisition financings, revolving credit facilities, term loans, reserve-based lending transactions, direct lending, and syndicated lending transactions.
Chris's recent representations prior to joining Jones Day include a public pipeline company in a multibillion dollar credit agreement and extensions of maturity; a pipeline joint venture in matters related to a $400 million credit facility; a chemicals company in a $100 million equipment sale-leaseback; a private equity sponsor in a $450 million secured term loan for a telecommunications infrastructure business; a public exploration and production company in connection with a $500 million elected commitment increase to its reserve-based lending facility; an international bank in connection with a $120 million revolving credit facility for a petroleum refining company; and a hospitality and gaming company in various financing matters.
