CNX Resources acquires natural gas upstream and associated midstream business of Apex Energy

Jones Day is advising CNX Resources Corporation in the acquisition of the natural gas upstream and associated midstream business of Apex Energy LLC, a Carnelian Energy Capital portfolio company, for a total cash consideration of approximately $505 million.

CNX is an ultra-low carbon intensive natural gas development, production, midstream, and technology company based in Appalachia. This acquisition expands CNX’s footprint in the Utica and Marcellus shale development corridors of central Pennsylvania by adding approximately 8,600 undeveloped acres of Utica and 12,600 undeveloped acres of Marcellus currently held by Apex.
