Andrés Lieja has more than 15 years of experience advising clients on administrative litigation matters involving energy, mining, public bids, environmental, government contracts, health, tax, and social security as well as representing clients before the Mexican Supreme Court. Andrés also has experience representing clients before administrative authorities in a range of matters and proceedings related to public bids and compliance agreements involving federal and local laws.
Andrés regularly provides regulatory counseling to multinational clients regarding government regulation and tax issues, including major companies in the construction, energy, alcohol, manufacturing, automotive, and retail industries.
In addition, Andrés has advised clients on domestic and cross-border transactions. He has prepared assessments for clients in order to comply with government regulations, applicable laws, investigations, and due diligence.
Andrés is active on pro bono matters, especially with respect to the regulation of nonprofit organizations in Mexico. He also is very involved in the Firm's Border Project with assisting women with claims for immigration relief.
