Tom York has defended clients in antitrust litigation, merger review, and civil and criminal antitrust investigations for more than a decade. He routinely represents clients before the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and international antitrust enforcers. He also regularly counsels clients on a variety of antitrust issues, including internal investigations and antitrust compliance programs.
Tom works across a range of industries, including consumer products, emerging technology, health care, oil and gas, sports, and transportation. Representative clients include American Airlines, Chevron, Cleveland-Cliffs, Conagra Brands, General Electric, Marathon Petroleum, Procter & Gamble, and Texas Instruments.
Tom has been recognized in Chambers USA, The Legal 500, and Best Lawyers in America, among others, for his experience in defending antitrust matters and his dedication to client service. He is the immediate past chair of the Antitrust & Business Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas and serves in leadership positions in the American Bar Association's Section of Antitrust Law and the Dallas Bar Association. Tom was selected to the Leadership Dallas Class of 2023.
Tom also maintains an active pro bono practice. Recent examples include successfully challenging the constitutionality of life without parole sentences imposed on minors and defending victims of human trafficking. He previously worked for four years in Jones Day's Washington Office.
