A la tête du département Propriété intellectuelle du bureau parisien de Jones Day, Emmanuel Baud gère, assisté des 6 avocats composant l’équipe, des dossiers complexes pour le compte de clients français et internationaux en matière de brevets, marques, droit d'auteur, dessins et modèles, noms de domaine, savoir-faire, secret des affaires, logiciels, indications géographiques ainsi qu’en matière de concurrence déloyale et de parasitisme. Il agit devant les institutions et juridictions nationales et européennes.

Emmanuel Baud assiste régulièrement ses clients dans la rédaction et la négociation de contrats en matière d’IP/IT, notamment à l'occasion d’accords de transfert transfrontalier de technologie et/ou l’octroi de licences dans le cadre de transactions nationales et internationales pour des sociétés privées et des fonds d’investissements. Il représente ses clients lors de contentieux en propriété intellectuelle, les assiste dans le cadre de la mise en place de stratégies de protection des marques, dessins et modèles. Il les conseille également en matière de droit de la publicité et de l’Internet. En outre, sa représentation d’acteurs majeurs du secteur des boissons et plus généralement d’entités en charge de la protection d’Indications Géographiques et/ou d’Appellations d’Origine (dans des contentieux et en matière de réglementation), lui a conféré une expérience reconnue dans ces domaines. Il traite de ces questions en proche collaboration avec les départements concurrence/antitrust et droit public du Cabinet.

Emmanuel Baud est membre l'Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles (APRAM), dont il a été le président de 2010 à 2012. Il est également membre de l'Association Internationale des Marques (INTA) et de l’Association Internationale des Juristes du Droit de la Vigne et du Vin (AIDV).
