Karl Colbary's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He has represented clients in a variety of matters including trade secret disputes, contractual disputes, product liability and toxic tort actions, bankruptcy proceedings, employment matters, and claims brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). He has experience in various stages of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, motion practice, and appeals.
Karl also maintains an active pro bono practice. He has represented clients in immigration proceedings, civil rights litigation, and uncontested divorce proceedings. While in law school, Karl worked on petitions for certiorari, amicus briefs, and merits briefs as well as participated in moot arguments for matters before the United States Supreme Court as a part of Northwestern University's Supreme Court clinic.
