Brendan Duffy focuses his practice on appellate advocacy and complex civil litigation. He has drafted briefs filed in courts at every level of the judiciary, including state and federal courts of appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Brendan recently briefed and argued a Seventh Circuit appeal resulting in a full reversal of the district court's decision on a statutory issue of first impression.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Brendan served as a law clerk to Justice Amy Coney Barrett of the U.S. Supreme Court. He also completed clerkships on the Seventh and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Before law school, Brendan was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and worked in Jeonju, South Korea.
