Scott Delaney focuses his practice on corporate transactions for public and private companies, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and management teams, with a particular emphasis on the energy sector.
Scott's transactional experience includes acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other investments and transactions spanning the energy arena, including in the traditional upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors and in the energy transition sectors (such as renewable fuels and carbon capture and sequestration). He also has advised clients on general corporate and transactional matters related to corporate governance, operating and commercial contracts matters, securitizations of oil and gas assets, and corporate restructurings and chapter 11 reorganizations.
Prior to attending law school, Scott worked in the finance and accounting department of one of the nation's largest oil and natural gas companies.
