Rob Harris practices corporate law with a focus on private equity and M&A. He has acted for public and private corporate clients including private equity sponsors, management teams, and fund vehicles on a range of mid-market acquisitions, exits, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and the implementation of management incentive plans.
Representative transactions include advising Aurelius on its acquisition of The Body Shop from Natura & Co S.A. for $260m; the management team of Lekela Power on its sale to Infinity Global Energy in what was Africa's largest renewable energy deal; Stellex on its buyout of DB Santasalo S.a r.l. from N4 Partners; and EagleTree Capital on the formation of its Arc platform and numerous acquisitions by that platform, including Farmers Guardian, Marketing in Partnership, and Incisive Media.
Rob has extensive experience in the retail and consumer sector, having advised True Capital on its acquisitions of Apparel Brands, owner of fashion brands such as Farah and NICCE, Sneak, a D2C zero sugar energy drinks business, and The Cotswold Company, a furniture retailer, amongst others; Goode Partners on its investment into vegan food business Strong Roots; and the management team of Creed Perfumes on its sale to Kering Beaute for €3.5 billion.
During his time at Jones Day, Rob has spent time on secondments to Goldman Sachs in London and to the New York Office of Jones Day.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Rob worked in the Enforcement and Market Oversight division of the Financial Conduct Authority.
