Silvia Malagón has more than 20 years of considerable experience advising companies in corporate law related to capital markets, mutual and pension funds, and Mexican banks and brokerage firms. She has actively participated in the establishment of Mexican affiliates of international fund managers and mutual funds in obtaining authorization before the National Banking and Securities Commission. She represents numerous local financial entities and the Mexican affiliates of many international financial institutions. Her experience also includes listing financial entities on the Mexican Stock Exchange. She has been recognized by Latinvex as one of the "Top 50" and as one of the "Top 100 Female Lawyers in Latin America."
Her mutual and pension funds practice includes regulatory counseling, filing requests to obtain authorizations for the incorporation, establishment, transfer of shares, and negotiation and implementation of purchase agreements. Silvia also has been very active in mergers, spin-offs, and liquidations of financial entities.
Silvia has lectured on commercial law at Universidad Iberoamericana.
