Preston Smith joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2024. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day.

Prior to attending law school, Preston worked as an advisory associate in the cyber, risk, & regulatory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa, Florida.

(NASDAQ: LGTY) in the acquisition by Aptean, Inc., a private equity-backed enterprise software company, for $14.30 per share in cash, or an enterprise value of approximately $490 million.
