David M. Monde

David Monde has over 30 years of litigation experience involving products liability; aviation law; trade secrets, product labeling and unfair competition, and restrictive covenants; franchises; complex commercial disputes; and special education matters. Areas of recent focus include dealership, commercial airline, food service and concessions management, specialty chemicals, and wireless telecommunications. David also has led teams in multidistrict litigation and has argued before the MDL panel.

Since 2008, David has tried to judgment 15 cases (14 jury, one bench), coordinated the defense of 167 Georgia products cases for Yamaha, and argued in the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, including securing the only Georgia appellate decision to ever reverse a plaintiff's verdict in a strict liability case on assumption of risk as a matter of law. He has previously represented GE in two dozen actions involving aviation contracts, maintenance services, and product claims.

David is the lawyer of choice in issues of integrity and process in government decision-making. He successfully challenged on a pro bono basis two of the largest school systems in cases of national significance representing dozens of children with disabilities in special education litigation. David served as special prosecutor successfully bringing impeachment proceedings against a city council member of Atlanta's most affluent suburb, who was represented by former Congressman Bob Barr, who led impeachment efforts against former President Bill Clinton. The case received national coverage and was only the second time in Georgia history that an elected municipal official was removed from office by his peers.

David serves on the Special Olympics Georgia board and previously served as the Atlanta Office Administrative Partner and head of the trial practice.
