Tim Fiorta is a dedicated trial lawyer who defends companies in complex product liability litigation. He has been part of more than 20 trial teams in cases tried to jury verdict, serving as trial counsel a half dozen times, including recently as second chair trial counsel in a three-week jury trial that resulted in a complete defense verdict. Tim has tried cases in state and federal courts.
Tim is experienced in many aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including motion practice, written discovery, the taking of fact and expert depositions, the preparation of fact and expert witnesses for trial, and the examination of fact and expert witnesses at trial. He has extensive experience with experts across multiple fields, including oncology, pulmonology, psychiatry, history, economics, cardiology, and epidemiology. Since 2009, Tim has been involved in Jones Day's defense of the "Engle progeny" smoking and health lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in Florida.
