Barbara Gregoratos is a real estate private equity lawyer, with a broad transactional practice. She represents domestic and foreign clients, including sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, property companies, and corporate users in a variety of transactions, such as high-value purchases and sales involving office, multifamily housing, shopping center, and hotel properties (including portfolio transactions); fund investment; and negotiating joint ventures for development, acquisition, or investment in real estate, real estate financings, and complex commercial leasing transactions (including ground and build-to-suit leases).

Barbara is the chair of the Special Investors and Investment Structures (SIIS) Group of the ABA's Real Property Section (2021-2023) and was the vice chair of that group and the chair of SIIS's International Investments in Real Estate Committee (2015-2020). She coauthored a chapter titled "Considerations in Structuring a Real Estate Fund," published by Aspatore Press (2008) in Inside the Minds: Fund Formation Strategies and authored a "Real Estate Practical Guidance" module and accompanying transactional forms for Lexis Practice Advisor, a Matthew Bender online resource (2012).

Barbara was a speaker at the 2011 ABA Annual Meeting and at the 2012 and 2015 ABA Real Property Section Spring Symposia in presentations sponsored by the ABA's Real Property Section Committee on International Transactions. She was a speaker on an ABA/RPTE sponsored eCLE webinar titled Understanding Joint Venture Waterfalls and Clawbacks (2021) and was a program co-chair for an international leasing presentation (2017 RPTE Symposia). She has been listed in Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition, and Northern California Super Lawyers numerous times.
