Mustafa Haris Shaikh practices corporate law with a focus on M&A and private equity. He advises public and private companies on a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and reorganizations, and provides general advice to corporate clients on company and commercial matters.
Mustafa has experience working with clients in the energy, renewables, infrastructure, private equity, real estate, gaming, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors.
Mustafa's representative M&A transactions include advising Bally's on its $2.7 billion acquisition of Gamesys (a London Stock Exchange [LSE]-listed online gaming company); The Stars Group's combination with Flutter Entertainment; Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) on its 100% acquisition of the Beacon Hospital (Dublin); Verint on its acquisition of Qudini (a provider of appointment scheduling solutions); Fleetcor Technologies on its acquisition of Global Reach Group (a UK-based cross-border payments provider); L1 Retail on its acquisition of Holland & Barrett from the Nature's Bounty Co. and the Carlyle Group; Owens Corning on its €900 million acquisition of the Paroc Group (a leading European mineral wool manufacturer); and Henderson Park on its £500 million acquisition of London and Birmingham Hilton Metropole hotels.
Mustafa recently spent a year on secondment at Macquarie Asset Management, where he supported MAM's European real assets legal team. Mustafa also has worked in the Firm's Dubai Office, where he advised on cross-border M&A and a variety of corporate and commercial matters.
