Kara Jakubec concentrates her practice on private equity, assisting firms with acquisitions and divestitures and the cultivation of global portfolios. She has worked for clients in a broad range of industries, including automotive, community development, and insurance administration.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2017, Kara worked as a consultant advising corporations and outside counsel regarding discovery, litigation, and compliance best practices. Her client list included companies in the fields of biopharmaceutical development, health care, media production, and power management.

Kara volunteers with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and sits on the board of Secondhand Mutts. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
